With the built in clutch mechanism, there is no chance of stripping or twisting off the head off a screw. Simply set the depth adjustment, drive the screw, and wait for the clutch to engage. The screw will always be the perfect depth, every time. I was building a deck with someone else using a drill and was able to drive a good 25% more screws in the same amount of time since I didn't have to worry about depth and torque.
